Hand and Glass Stand

For this project I needed to create a sculpture with plaster and glass. I came up with the idea of making a mold of my hand propped on a cube on top of a glass stand. I started with making a clay cube and stuck my hand into a bucket to make the mold. After pouring plaster and allowing it to dry, I worked on the stand. Using foam I carved the stand and then made a box around it and poured plaster on it. When it dried I used a propped up flower pot that had a hole in it, in the kiln to make the glass stand. After piecing it together, I was very proud of how this project turned out.
